About

Hanyi Yin is a photographer and oil painter based in Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Beijing.

They shoot mostly on film. These photographs are a personal body of work: fog and frost, open water, summer streets, and people, some close to home and some met by chance.

Because Hanyi also paints, each one is captioned with its loudest color, named after the oil paint they’d reach for to mix it.
